It’s Christmas Eve, and although I have to work today, things are slow and we’re winding down for the holiday. Our little tree is up, and we’ll be bringing in some holly and small evergreen branches from the yard for tomorrow’s table centerpiece. We’re having friends join us for dinner, and will be serving up a Celebration Roast, a potato/spinach gratin, roasted Brussels sprouts with walnuts and a maple/dijon glaze, rolls and apple cobbler with coconut milk ice cream for dessert.
No white Christmas for us in Portland! It will be cloudy and possibly misty, as it often is, and in the 40s pretty much day and night. But for those both enjoying snow and those wishing they were, I wanted to post this beautiful version of the song “Snowfall” by The Manhattan Transfer:
A warm and wonderful Christmas to one and all!
